Ok.  these ultras are giving me headaches.Ok. these ultras are giving me headaches. Ultra number one I had an ultra on a batteries. Inserted a power pack in it. No luck. Put the batteries back in. It wouldn't reconnect. Tried syncing. No luck. So after many tries I removed the device from the system and tried to reconnect. Cannot get it to reconnect. Ultra number two. Had a power pack in it. Removed it to connect to another ultra (Ultra number three). THAT ultra would not work with the power pack. So I put batteries back in. It works. However, when reattaching power pack to the Ultra number two, it doesn't work. Tried batteries in number two. STILL doesn't work. Tried re-syncing. No luck. Don't want to remove the device from the system as I am fearful that the same thing might happen. Anyone have any ideas? Gotta say that I have not had this issue with the Pro 2's that I have. Seriously thinking about getting rid of all my Ultra's and converting to Pro 2's.

Not good for advice but I just got the ultra set up myself and has been crazy issues, now they will record for say 30 Sec but only show maybe 5 sec of video, for the money I paid I am not impressed and close to returning them.

When you say power packs, what are you referring to?

Joshua, they are corded units which allow you to use the units with continuous power so you do not have to continually change batteries. A precursor to the Pro Series.

Can you post photos? What power packs can you put inside an Ultra camera?

I have never heard of power packs. I just use the original battery with mine. Ultra works flawless

Don’t know if it is the same for ultras but when I went from Arlo to pros I found that it was a issue when removed the old ones and added the new one using the same name for camera. It about drove me nuts. So I changed the name on the new one and gave it a couple days then renamed it to what the old one was and haven’t had any issues with it since.

@amen I have my battery in the cameras while hardwired. If my wire gets disconnected at anytime it’s still working with the battery. Everything I have read you can not over charge the batteries.

I believe we are speaking about something different. The power pack I am referencing replaces the battery entirely.

@amen ah ok, I haven’t used those yet. Since their off brands I am afraid to touch them.

@amen I've never seen those either. I am completely unqualified to speak on behalf of how those operate with Arlo cams, but I've always only used either the Arlo batts or Arlo power cables. I hope the cams not damaged by those.

Joshua, no, I have used the one I have for quite a long time with no adverse affects.

@senzer10 That is what Arlo wants you to think, Yet you can use what ever battery you want !

An addendum to my above statement. I have two stations on two separate accounts. There are less than five per account so I have not hit the maximum limit. When trying to add the ultras back to either station I select 'ultra' as the camera I am adding. I immediately get a message that states 'no base station found'. Which is weird because I have TWO of them. So I select a Pro Camera as an option. The system immediately recognizes the correct base station for the respective account. Guides me through the proper syncing steps. But . does . not . sync .

Ah. I see the photo above shows the "power pack" is for the Arlo wirefree original camera. No Ultras found as there are no Ultra cameras

This is an Arlo Ultra camera. It has no ability to run off a 'power pack' inserted into it

I myself have been trying to get my camera's back as the batteries ran out and it was a couple days before I got around to changing them now none of them will work and will not reconnect to the Arlo Hub it has been 3 months and I still can not get them to connect and the Arlo support is a frickin JOKE.
