Do the solar panels work to keep them charged? Is continuous recording actually just keeping it plugged in and purchasing plan or is there more to it? I have the Arlo pro 3’s. I am trying to figure out what I should do as my trial is almost up. I’m Currently Having to charge the cameras constantly as we get lots of motion, and I’m so tired of having to climb ladders to get the cameras down. I would only want the front of the house to be continuous recording and the rest to be motion.

If you are wanting continuous recording, you cannot use the solar panel, you have to use a plug-in option. Once you purchase the plan per camera, it records for that plan’s duration.

@autobiography6 I would want continuous recording on one of the cameras and the rest would just be so I wouldn’t have to charge them constantly. Should have made that clear

@katricekatrina Then you could essentially get solar panels for the rest of them. You can purchase the continuous plan per camera so that would work

@katricekatrina I was the same way! I love the solar panels. There’s no way I could keep continue to climb up. The solar panels work great.

For high activity they don’t keep the battery charged fully, typically they last around two weeks before they need charging up, they are also notoriously known to be faulty, I have 3 & 2 have been sent back due to faults. I’ve hardwired mine to the power sockets (plugged in)
