Question

I tried to charge my Arlo Pro camera batteries and one refused to charge and displayed the orange light. The display said it was not synched so I proceeded to synch and now there is no light at all. Do I need to replace the battery ?

How are you charging? If in camera, you can swap the battery to another camera and try charging it in that? Failing that, you may need a new battery especially if it's getting old

I had a similar problem. After many frustrating attempts, I realized that I wasn’t using the cable that came with the Arlo, but one that looked very similar. Once I switched out the USB cables, my issue was resolved. Since then, I’ve labeled all of my Arlo chargers and cables.

Sometimes mine doesn’t charge correctly. I make sure it turns green before I take it off the charger. Sometimes the battery has to go in and out a few times to work. I’ve also had to wipe off the contact points and it’s all good

To recharge the batteries while in the cameras, while outside mounted, I tried using the official arlo cable with an Anker battery pack, and arlo complained saying it would not work without an official charger. Just an observation. I have official arlo chargers, just would have been nice to hook it up to the portable rechargeable pack.

@azaleeazan you need specific power banks to do what you want. You'll notice the Arlo chargers are Qualcomm 3. 0 ones that output 5V normally but 9V when connected to compliant devices like Arlo Pro or Pro 2 cameras. You need a Power bank that can do this to do what you want and I believe there are some available. YMMV though and I don't do it this way so at your own risk
