I closed out the month of January and paid -3% of my credit card debt and still smiling Why? because the reason why my debt was higher is due to the MANY balance transfers I did for the month. I was able to get credit card rates that were originally between 10-29% down to 0-3. 99% and some of the transferring incurred fees that will be worth it in the end. LOOK at the amount of interest I have eliminated; so yes, I am still smiling because closing out the month of February 2020 is going to look AMAZING! My point is even when it looks bad or worse; have a plan of ACTION/ATTACK!

We just took out some personal loans as well. Going to save about $1, 000 in interest over the next 2 years!

Nice! Did you open a new card to do the transfers or did you just negotiate a better rate on existing?
