Why do I have a checking account cushion? Here's a great example why: Noticed my indoor cat's mouth seemed swollen and his gums looked abnormal. Took him to the vet. $334 later, I leave with my cat and some antibiotics. I pull up at home directly from the vet, my outdoor cat runs up and has a huge skin flap hanging off her head. Back to the vet I go in the morning for probably another $300+ vet bill. *My pet sinking fund covered some of this expense, but not all. I haven't been working on that sinking fund for long, so it wasn't built up enough to cover the whole cost. **Even though it's a lot of money, I'm still so grateful to not have to use a credit card for this unexpected expense! Kumiko's teachings are life changing! Just 4 months ago, I wouldn't have had a dime in cash to throw at these vet bills.

I get it. we’ve been to the vet nearly weekly w one of ours who has swollen lymph nodes and isn’t acting normally. Tomorrow is an exam under sedation after biopsies last week ‍♀️ we love them so we do what we need to do!

I feel you, my 2 y/o dog had two seizures today. Worried for him but not as much for my finances as I would have been.
