It's likely the sauce has permanently coloured the leather. You may have to get some leather dye and rub it over x

Wash with soap, normal black shoe polish and after drying, put some thick hand cream on the top or vaseline, or slightly damped in olove oil cotton bud. dry.

Hi my daughter came home from school yesterday with tippex on her black school sweatshirt & trousers, so I googled how to get it off & it said to dab the mark(after scraping the excess off) with white spirit on cotton wool & leave to soak for 15 minutes before washing it off in the washing machine.
