I'm a cleaner and I always use this, with direct floor spray on laminate and wood floors.

@albescent791 do you just use normal floor cleaner?
by (12.8k points)
@shay6502 I use this on wood and laminate. Tesco sell it and it smells gorgeous. It also lasts a long time as you don't need much.

I’ve had laminate down for 11 years it gets steamed at least once a week and had no issues at all with it lifting.

I tried a steamer once and it smeared my floor no matter what product I used . Was a shark one and not cheap . I find if you have loads of light coming in it will look smeary. I now get on my hands and knees (its a big area) use a clean warm wet cloth & glass spray. Works wonders. Plus it's a bit of exercise too lol. And your original question. I don't know. Sorry ‍♀️

Shark lift away steam Cleaner is by far the best mop I’ve had for my flooring. I have flooring throughout the house and regularly use the mop. It leaves the floor pretty much instantly dry which is a good thing I canna be doing with feet marks on the floor because it wasn’t completely dry before walking over it lol xxx

@yep5 my mum swears by her shark floor mop. I want to get one
by (780 points)
@kilmer8 glad your mum likes hers too. I had the shark lift away hoover too. I didn’t like it and went back to a Henry lol but the mop is amazing  xxx
by (520 points)

I stopped using a steamer as it was destroying my floors, made them really dull. I use a mop that you can spin to take the excess water off, along with Astonish floor cleaner

@malaysia52872 My Wilkos currently have them, stores are still open. I have seen them elsewhere on my travel's. Think it was Sainsburys, morrisons or Asda. (I had issues finding trays that will fit my new oven) Just looked on Wilkos website and currently out of stock but there's an email when in stock option. Robert Days have them for £20 plus fiver delivery. They are also showing that Home Bargains sells them but you'll have to go in store. Sorry for the long reply, I don't know if your willing to go out or not. Providing the current situation ☺️ xx
by (550 points)
@malaysia52872 home bargains sell them too. C

I recently got one in Asda. x
by (6.2k points)
@frediafredie Do you mean separate trays or the actual shelf that goes in the oven? I had to buy shelves for my new oven as it only came with one. I was told that’s all the manufacturers provide nowadays. I got universal ones on eBay and you will probably get trays on there as well.
by (830 points)
@inclinatory no just separate trays. I kept my shelves from my old one just in case but I got given 3. Ive not long moved out of my parents and didn't realise my trays would be too big  still got a long way to go in terms of adulting, next is changing all the addresses  Thanks for the tip though xz
by (6.2k points)
Changing addresses can be a real pain, there’s always one place you forget about! Not much help as I can’t remember what it is but I know there’s some way of going to one place and then they notify all your contacts. Just mentioned it in the hope that someone else might know where/what it is. Good luck in your new home.

Normal string mops. Tried and tested lots of types. Back to old fashioned everytime

I use any old microfiber flat mop with a spray bottle to spray the floor. I had the most terrible experience with my floor lifting and warping with a steam mop that was used very lightly.

If you use a steamer it lifts the varnish off.
by (780 points)
@farfetched not in my experience. The problems of lifting comes from the floor being left to wet and allowed to absorb into the flooring. I have good quality laminate flooring throughout my house of which I have recently replaced. I also previously had laminate flooring ( lesser quality and different colour) but even then I had that flooring for years without water related issues, it was only replaced for cosmetic reasons after decorating xxx
by (600 points)
@yep5 mine wasn’t laminate that’s probably why it was oak flooring that had a matt finish but i think came varnished to seal it.
