Hey ladies, I have a question. I have not been to the store in over 3 weeks, but we need stuff now. I have one n95 mask from when we demoed our bathroom last fall. I offered to donate it, but my oncologist told me to keep it for myself. Will people think I’m a mask hoarder if I wear it to the store? I kind of to wear a sign saying I have cancer, so people don’t glare at me, too extreme?

You should wear it, and if anyone says something just state that you have cancer. Let them feel like an Asshole. You won’t be the only one. Enjoy your first trip to the store!

I wore a n95 mask to the store last week. I wasn't the only one wearing that mask. There were a couple people. No one said anything.

Most people are wearing masks in the stores.

I’d absolutely wear one with no explanation. It is nobody’s business why you have it on. Let them think what they’d like. You’re protecting yourself. Most people are wearing masks anyways.

Wear it. Stay safe. No sign necessary. My husband wore a mask he had left over from working in the basement to Jewel on Monday. No one said anything. It wasn't N95 but not homemade either, so it could have looked like an N95 to others.

No, wear it! No one knows anyone's situation by LOOKING at them!

Splatter some paint on the front so it looks like and old thing from remodeling.

Nope. I wear one and mine is just a regular mask not N95. But I see people are wearing the N95 when I go to the store.

You don’t have to explain yourself to anyone. People need to worry about themselves.

You shouldn't have to explain anything to anyone. Your mask, your business.

Thanks everyone! It seems like so much has changed in the past few weeks and it’s going to take a bit for our societal norms to catch-up
