I really wanna organize my closet it’s been a need for years and why not now?! Any tips or ideas on how to organize a small closet would be helpful! Or pictures of yours?

Personally. my first step was to minimize. Then I built a capsule wardrobe per suggestions from this group. I followed a few bloggers, my favorites are Allie Casazza and Classy Yet Trendy. I purchased e-capsules from Classy Yet Trendy's Capsule Wardrobe Collective after following her for about a month. I have a small closet, too. Will try to take pictures over the weekend. With less stuff, organization is easy.

I know this sounds sketchy, but sometimes the Blossom site has some good ideas (sometimes they are irresponsible and dangerous). So, as long as you ignore their advice about burning plastic and some of their stuff with glue guns, it can be informative for DIY hacks.

This is my closet with the photobomber . Take note, under non-covid circumstances, it is not that tidy  but because I have minimal stuff, it’s easy to organize. Plus I can hang my little one’s clean coats on the bottom hanging rack (most are in the laundry now). Closet is only about 5 ft wide, 7ft tall. We installed the closet organizer from Lowe’s (around $80).

Seasonal clothes go in big clear boxes, labeled with names, in the basement

I took the sliding doors off (going to get a curtain) but I can officially see the floor lol. Looks ten times better!

I don’t really have the extra money right now but what’s in there pretty much will stay. I still need to go through my clothes and donate but it’s likely half of that closet will clear up. I may put my 6 cube organizer in there but my clothes would rest on it slightly. I haven’t decided. If I do that I’ll need to find 2 matching night stands

@infeudation look at my daughter’s closet. (She didn’t know I took a photo ). Same size as ours, she took the doors off like you did then put a hanging organizer and some baskets on the bottom.

I ordered this basket for shoes at the bottom. Thought about an organizer just not sure what one I saw a ten dollar one that hangs from the rod just would have to measure. I have a dresser for my pjs , pants, shorts , socks and undies. Trying to be a little more simpler but it so dang hard!

@infeudation you can do it! Show pictures of your finished “project”. My shoes stay downstairs so that’s less closet space for me, too.
