Change conversion optimization goal while ad set is running or duplicate it and start off with new conversion goal? I've started out with optimizing for view content to let the pixel gather data while finding the right audience. Stable CTR of around 5% and a OK amount of add to carts (50). I think it's time to change the optimization goal further down the funnel.  Any suggestions on how to do that with the most chance of success?

Optimize for what you want and make edits to your funnel from there

Problem is I only spend 30-50 / day per adset and that will probably average me 2 sales a day per ad set, I guess FB need more data than that to optimize correctly? But you suggest I do it the other way around? Optimize for purchases but evaluating the campaign based on mid- and upper funnel metrics (like cpc and cost per add to cart)? And if that doesn’t look good I simply change the optimization goal one level up?

@pursuivant Honestly I wouldn’t worry about the 50 cov per ad set. I don’t hit those on most of ad sets and we do just fine. You want to go for purchase to look at your atc etc like you said so you can know how you can lower your cpa.
