My 5 Step System to Scaling Ads Hi Ad Buyers! ‍‍ Maybe some of you guys know my story but for those who don’t, here it is. I’ll keep it brief… I started out 5 years ago with a marketing course, then spent $50k on education, some of it fluff, some of it very valuable. Launched an agency for local businesses, then last year was able to work for GC and FK at their agency did very well there generating multiple 6 figs in 60 days, got promoted then left 5 months later. Re-launched my own agency and have 8 team members. Now we’ve overseen and managed six figures ad budgets to help 6 and 7 figure per month eCommerce brands, and entrepreneurs scale. So along my journey I remember back to when I first started and I wished someone would provide actual insight on what It’s like to run ads, and what was needed to run 7 figure online businesses. So that’s what I want to cover today and hopefully it helps you entrepreneurs that have businesses and looking to take it to the next level. 1. Branding This is one of the core pillars I’ve come to realize is so vital for selling products, and items online. I’ve done it through funnels, Shopify stores and have helped others do so, and one of the biggest things I realized that differentiated 6 figure per year stores from 6 figure per months stores, is the branding. Drop shipping is cool but if you want a real long term business then the aesthetic, the feel, and the appearance of the store online. TIP: DON’T CHEAP OUT ON THIS SIDE – WHAT’S CHEAP IS ALWAYS EXPENSIVE 2. Advertising Lets go over a few things here 1. Mindset  You must be willing to invest into the data. If you’re expecting $1k in $10k out in the first month, advertising won’t work for you. Results can happen quick but probably won’t happen in your first month like that. Companies and stores that have plenty of data typically can get these results no problem. I’ve had campaigns where it works out like this in the first month, even some crazier numbers but it’s all about having the right expectations going in! 2. Budget  You have to have some $ to start – there’s no doubt about it. If you’re just starting out I recommend starting with $50 per day which is $1500 per month. Once you find something that works, continue to scale. 3. Creatives  You NEED to have high quality images, product mockups and videos. Having a few videos and more images works very well but realize this is an INVESTMENT. It may make you money organically but it is at the end of the day a cost of online business. 4. Patience and Commitment⌚️ If you want to run fast, bigger budgets get data faster. But if you’re on the lower side of the spectrum don’t worry! Just know that if you’re only spending $50 per day, it’ll take 2-5 days depending on your niche. 5. Utilize the Pixel Heavily! </> Once you get to a point of enough data you can create look alike audiences based on your best purchasers. This is sooo powerful and has allowed me to scale stores! (This is a big scaling tip! ) 3. Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Now since we are all in the click funnels community we know about split testing to see which one works better and declare the split test as a winner. Whether you're testing different copy, different colors, or even different designs and mockups of the product I highly recommend that with your advertising if you are completing a split test that you spend at least $500 on each or 150 to 300 clicks from a conversion campaign before making any changes. If your funnel is converting between 3 and 5% then it's doing ok, But should be doing way better. Thankspical Shopify stores get 3% to 5% purchase conversion rates and they are able to scale. So what can you do to approve this number? 1. Create new ads 2. Do new split tests (button color, popups etc) 3. Create new follow up emails… if that doesn’t change your numbers 4. Either your offer isn’t sexy enough or it isn’t being communicated effectively 4. Tracking Making sure every step of the way is tracked and lists of people are segmented is very important. The only way to know if you’re growing is to track key numbers and audiences. In fact, monitoring this led me to generating over $60k in one week in new revenue for one of my clients. Track your Instagram and Facebook engagement over 7, 14, 30, and 90 days. Have bench marks on Facebook and evaluate them every week – if you see one of them spike, run ads to that group immediately! Additionally you want to make sure in all your follow up efforts, that the data is tracked and you are able to utilize it in different ways with your ads manager. 5. Special Offers Since now you have this audience segmented, it’s crucial you grab your low hanging fruit with offers across platforms like google, and FB/IG. Those very warm potential customers typically give in after seeing you a few items and honestly, it’s really cheap to acquire those customers if you know how to segment and retarget properly. So what are some action steps? Go through your eCommerce funnel, eCommerce store, lead gen funnel, or info product offer and ask yourself if you’re doing everything here…. And if you’re not, ask yourself why not? and are you really wanting to do all of this? Sometimes people think online businesses are easy, clickfunnels has made it easy but there is still a lot of work needed to be done…. But in the end it’s all worth it! Keep your heads up and crush it! I’ll answer some questions below!  P. S. If you came to the bottom here's a recap. Invest in your brand - don't go the cheap route Have the right mindset around ads, invest in your creative content (images and videos) and spend money on ads CRO - Make your store convert better by changing copy, landing page colors, and complete designs. Make sure you track and segment your lists as best as you can! Super important to have control over your list so you can control the message they see at each step of your sales process. Use this segmented list to create special offers. Call them out in your ads, via video or copy to grab their attention and get cheap purchases!
