I'm moving into a new property soon and wanted to paint the fences. Originally I was thinking of grey but struggling to get any. What do you think of painting them in black? Do you think it would make it seem smaller?

I used ronseal fence life plus - in slate. Easier to get than grey but it looks light grey on and I love it.

Black looks great with plants against it and doesn't make garden look small. Use Cuprinol ducksback it's best
