Help!  My garden is large and wraps around the house with a decent size front section, long and wide side section with a slightly narrower, long back section.Help! My garden is large and wraps around the house with a decent size front section, long and wide side section with a slightly narrower, long back section. We’ve managed to tidy it up a lot and removed lots of dead grass/turf leaving us with just the soil. Him indoors wants to concrete the back over and some of the front where we’re going to put a drive which is fine but I think we should part pave and part turf the back. The back faces south as does the side but because some of the back is in shade that bit doesn’t get as much sun as you’d think. So a few questions: * To compact the soil ready for new turf/paving is best to tamp it or roll it? *What plants would be good to provide colour, fragrance. I have room for a shed and arches * Where to put a seating area? Back or side? Over the years I’ve noticed plants, usually weeds  do flourish and there a lot of lillies which come back year after year. Even things I thought I’d killed off. I want to grow veg and there’s even room for a beehive or two but plants to attract them and other wildlife would be great. Apologies for long post but any suggestions would be more than welcome.
