Hey everyone, I have been running ads for a tech/video company for months now and out of nowhere keep having campaigns labeled limited or disapproved due to Russia. However I have the locations set to USA and Canada, even checked the box for only people who live in or often visit. I am now just putting Russia on the exclude list. But I was wondering, has anyone else ran into a similar situation and have suggestions?

Just exclude Russia! and always choose people in location. Google gets “creative” with people who visit etc. the likelihood of that audience being profitable versus people in location is up for debate

Why Russia is a problem?

@rrhagia91451 it said not putting an age limit is a violation so is limited to run. However I was not targeting Russia and the ads didn't have anything that were inappropriate. It's just a video hosting company, so G rated ads.

I have two separate accounts with the same issue. My ads are limited due to Russia. Both are Targeted Placements Display campaigns. Both launched in the past week. I need to email my rep but I'll add Russia as an excluded location first. Very strange.

"Or often visit" is causing it. It will also not exclude search terms with Russia geo. What you probably want is to explicitly exclude Russia and use the "people in" option not the one with "or often visit".
