I’ve been waiting for nearly 10 days to start, waiting for my order to get here from Nashua. It’s floating around in USPS land somewhere.  Any meal/snack ideas without packets?

I would fan a big can of shake somewhere and start with that.

@trisoctahedron agreed! Some grocery stores carry the quest bars. You also might want to check Amazon

@trisoctahedron do a shake with 2 cups veggies?

@rosaceous6 yes, unrestricted, really easy. I have 2 shake per day. Put frozen cauliflower (1 cup) in your shake, you wont believe how the texture is amazing, you won’t be able to say there is cauliflower in there! I always have it like that!

I have done it a without packets. Took 40 days to loose 25lbs. I just drank shakes with spinach and protein powder (with water) ate alot of taco salad, eggs and chicken and drank a ton of water.

@ppi77369 Just to clarify, in this group, any protein meal replacement is a “packet” - shakes, protein powder, bars, etc.

@welsh I meant I NEVER purchased any packets.

@ppi77369 If you purchased shakes or protein powder, those are packets.

@welsh to add to Diane’s comment, for new members wondering what a packet is, is is a protein meal replacement or snack that meets the unrestricted or restricted IPA (or IP) guidelines. These include the shakes and bars we can find at many local stores as well as the several soups, oatmeal’s, pancake mixes, pastas etc we can buy online at Nashua and similar vendors. This plan is based on and must include 3 packets a day. Many members keep it simple and only use shakes as their protein packets but many like to bake or make recipes using the many varieties available online. Whichever one works best for you is great.

Just do the easy to find locally packets like shakes or bars or chips. Lots of people do their whole diet using just those. Eggs are the only other packet substitute.

Lots of shipping delays. There are some packets at target or Walmart. Quest bars and chips. Sometimes Simply Protein bars.

If you are waiting to start. Start reducing your intake of sugar, carbs, snacks, etc. Beef up your water intake, experiment with veggies and reduce your portions. These things will help you with keto flu and will curb some of the hunger as you enter the diet.

I'm thinking of starting again, I didn't really try hard enough the first time, and I'm frustrated. I really need my motivation to kick in! Any suggestions?

@guideboard830 Are usually get headaches the first couple days so I try to do it over a weekend. Maybe pick a Thursday Friday Saturday and Sunday or whatever works for you based on your schedule. I try to take it in baby steps and don’t try to over plan for gourmet meals. I really try to keep it simple. hope that helps
