So I am a little concerned I was on this plan last year and put on a bunch of the weight I had lost so I went back on last week. This is day 10 and I am down 17 lbs. I have always heard that it’s unhealthy to loose weight that fast. Thoughts anyone?

With every restart of this program the first week I always have lost anywhere fron 12 to 16lbs, , , my body hangs on alot of fluid. So I wouldn't be concerned if I were you keep going!

Lots of it is probably water weight. To check and see if you are holding onto water, press down in your shin bone and count slowly to 10. You'll see how deep the pressed down part goes, and how long it stays that way. Once for me, it stayed that way for a few minutes! That's when I realized I was carrying so much water weight.

Depends what your starting weight is and you got tons of water weight to shed at first .

Men always lose more and quicker than women. When we had couples come in together the women always got mad because the men had lost more weight every week lol

I’m a little over 15 lbs in 11 days. My first time doing this was 36 lbs in 6 weeks. I lose fast on the diet too especially since I’m better about taking vitamins like B12 because I’m deficient usually. For me, the two times I did it with a coach, I started doing the alternative plan after a few weeks. But honestly, I could lose about 100 lbs total.

A good portion of that is the glycogen reserve. The bulk of that is the glycogen and water that your body produces from carbs as a ready reserve that it stores in your muscles. With the lack of carbs on this diet that reserve is depleted. It is also why vigorous exercise is not allowed on this protocol as your body will substitute muscle breakdown for this energy as fat conversion is too slow. For a male, that can be upwards of 7 pounds. That is also the one time weight that will come back when you phase off and start eating enough carbs for your body to store glycogen again.
