Some 20 years ago, most garage & estate sales would last all day. Often, there’d be a presale Thursday evening. Nowadays, it seems like estate sales end by 2 or 3 PM, with just two days. NO WAY could a home’s worth of stuff be sold within those short hours! (Opinion based on the many sales I visited in their last-day closing hours, when many things were half-price & PLENTY of items remained. ) Why did sales hours change? I like to browse a sale every now & then, but with those early hours, I’ve been unable to go to one for a couple of years.
