@whiny no I was there the other day and told my son I would get him a cake pop before we went to kohl’s to return something at the amazon drop and there was a sign that said it is closed for good. I was so annoyed since I had to go back outside to get to kohl’s

@crescantia13696 hmm. Weird. I’d ask an employee, they’d probably know.

@whiny I will next time I go I just forgot to before I left to go to kohl’s

@whiny I hate that the dead Sears now blocks you from walking from one end of the mall to the other. You have to walk outside around the closed Sears to get to Target. It feels like a ghost town there anyways. I give Golf Mall 5 years before it’s all gone.

As an employee, It's to deter theft because there was too much theft where people would run into the mall with stolen shit and not enough loss prevention to stop em having to watch 2 enterances!

Kohls in Golf Mill is closing. They are moving to the new shopping center at Dempster and Waukegan in Morton Grove.

@holdup790 while I didn’t know the kohl in golf mill was closing that still doesn’t make sense why target closed its mall door
by (910 points)
@crescantia13696 the hallway ends at Sears. Doubt many people using that hallway anymore, especially when Kohls leaves. Target probably planning ahead since they just finished remodeling that store.

@holdup790 do we know for sure that the Golf Mill Kohl’s is closing?
by (910 points)
@pansir Yes, it was in a article about the new shopping center in Morton Grove. The article was listing some of the stores that will be located there. Kohls and Ross were two of the stores listed. Why would they stay in a mall that customers don’t want to shop at. Pretty bad when even McDonalds and Taco Bell left.

@holdup790 . as an employee of golf mill kohls. Although such things are already listed as definatly happening. we as employees have been NOT had this matter confirmed as of Yet by any regional or district employees. There also has been talks of remodeling the building and golf mill being turned into an outdoor mall. Can't believe everything We read/hear .

@ecg72 Agree, I remember seeing Cheech and Chong in the Mill Run Theatre. Sadly have watched Golf Mill deteriorate over the years. Hopefully they can do something to rebuild and restore the Mall. Good luck

It’s a shame what is happening to Golf Mill. At the same time Harlem Irving keeps expanding with lots of new stores and restaurants

@holdup790 yeah I would never go to the hip. They should make golf mill like randhurst

You should see what you are missing out on ‍♂️

My wife went to the HIP last week and was amazed at all of the stores. She said just the food court is unbelievable at all the places to choose from

@sclera37758 it’s more that the traffic sucks to get there. With 3 kids in tow I like to go close if I can

An employee stated when I was at Target that the mall management had requested them to close the entrance.

The mall thought they may get business if it stayed open so they closed it.

Lol these comments are something else  as @bruno882 stated, it's to deter theft. I asked an employee there last week and she gave me the same response.
