Hey Moms, our neighborhood has set up a "spot the flamingo game. Where your kids can stand on the sidewalk (socially distanced) and try to spot the flamingo in various yards. Just look for a sign in the yard of participants. Our area is Ontario to Chicago and Marion to Elizabeth Court. Marion Place, which is in the alley b/n Marion and Forest also has a home participating. Hope this helps pass your days. We'll be adding to and changing up things weekly so you can come more than once. Also here's a quick rough draft of a letter I put together to make it more fun for the kiddos. Dear Friends Without Feathers, My name is Frederick. I’m a flamingo. I have a little problem…and was hoping you might help me. As we were flying to our condo in Miami, we made a little stop in Oak Park to see all the beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright homes. And…well…we kind of got stuck here for a little while. So I was wondering if you might help me find my friends. We come in all colors. And my friends are quite shy, so they might be hiding. Could you help me spot them from the sidewalk? Oh thank you so very much! I knew I could count on you! Sincerely, Frederick
