New to Oswego- Are season passes to the Civic Center pool worth it for our family with a 3 and 1 year old? Does it get super crowded there during weekdays where I will be too stressed to take the kids by myself? Also, would I have to by a family of 4 pass or will my one year old be free like other places and I could buy a family of 3 pass?

Let’s go together! We also love the toddler mornings they have! Last year it was from 9a-11a and perfect for lunch/nap times.

@downstroke0 I’ve never seen toddler time at either pool (other than the August week the big kids are in school). When do they do toddler time?

@downstroke0 yes! We are getting zoo passes too!

@casie honestly. I don’t remember the days. We went once in July and once in August

The 1 year old should be free and if you live in Oswego and are a pass holder then you get to go in before anyone else so you will get a place to sit. It is the only one that allows you to bring in a cooler and it gets crowded but not to crowded.

The baby should be free. There is usually a sale on season passes in late March/early April. Some days are crowded, but there are two pools (Civic Center and Winrock) and it's not usually too bad. Both have really nice areas for little ones.

There are 2 pools and IMO, Winrock is usually not as crowded as Civic Center.

Your best/cheapest option is to buy during the preseason sale (4/1-4/15 ish). Great play areas at both pools for little ones. And you can stop at the playground at both sites, too.

Passes are sold individually, not as a family.

@sabulous that must be new this year! It’s always been per person.

That is new then this year! People have been asking for that for years.

I think it’s a perfect village pool. There are days it gets crowded; but if you arrive early you can get a place to camp out. My kids are a bit older (11-15); so we usually go around 2:30- as it clears out completely by then

You can use Winrock too. It’s a nice pool and I like it because it’s more contained for little ones. Not as many chairs as CC but definitely manageable with two kids on your own.

We are DEF getting the family pass this year! We went at least once a week this past summer to either the civic center or windrock pool, and it’ll definitely be worth it by the end of summer. I have to admit, my tan was fantastic by the end of summer because of it ‍♀️

Worth it if you get early bird rates in April!
