What do you think of Discover's student credit cards? Bank of America? East West Bank? Credit Karma?

I'm guessing you are a student. Stay away from credit cards in general.

@incogitable I second that. Until you have a steady income that allows you to pay in full every month, you shouldn’t do it. My two cents.

I got Discover's student credit card several years ago and still have the account open. It was a great first credit card and allowed me to build a credit history. The website is clear and easy to use. I've never had any problems. Would recommend

I certainly recommend Credit Karma for keeping track of your credit score and having access to 2 of your 3 credit reports at all times. (You can access the 3rd for free once per year through AnnualCreditReport. com)

Stay away from Bank of America! Never met anyone who enjoys banking there. Credit karma is good at monitoring credit and understanding what influences it.

I got the discover it card when I was a freshman and loved it. It’s very simple to use. Building credit slowly while in school will open more doors for you when you get out since age of credit is an important factor in your credit score. Just make sure you pay it off every month!
