Question

We are traveling to Naples and key west Florida Sunday-Saturday. Is it safe to go? My bf is freaking out with all the coronavirus talk!

Yes. I travel every other week for work (and I’m pregnant) and my husband travels once a month, too. I haven’t run into any issues. Just wash your hands.

@kufic16 i bought extra disinfecting wipes might even bring a thing to Lysol on the plane! But yes. Wash constantly.

@gambado absolutely! Take wipes if you want. But key west is supposed to be amazing (I’m headed there in May) so I’d hate to see you cancel your trip!

@kufic16 i lnow. Cancelling was not even a question in my mind. We have 4 kids. I have 3 and we have one together so he’s stuck in the “first time parent freak out over everything mode” I’m 4th kid who cares mode always lol. Gotta love him for it tho.

I just got back from Naples. Some passengers wore masks on the plain. I just washed my hands a lot. I believe the first case in Florida was reported yesterday in Tampa. I was at the flea market in Naples and they were selling 50 masks for $150

Out of the 50000 cases reported in China, 48000 recovered. Those that didn't were elderly or had compromised health issues. On the other hand the flu kills more people annually and no one worries about that. About 200 people daily actually just in the United States. I think we need to keep things in perspective. Enjoy your vacation.
