Question

Any moms who’s kids were selected for full day kindergarten but didn’t get paperwork in before school closings, did you get any recent info? The last email I received was April 13th saying enrollment will be as soon as schools open  (and now they’re not obviously)

In the email parents of kids currently in school got the from the district last week they said registration for kindergarten will be held as soon as possible. My guess would be once restrictions are lifted this summer.

@terrilyn0 Is there anyway to get on an email list to be notified? I check the website periodically, but I am worried I will miss registration.

@dazzle I don’t think you can unless you have a registered student, but I can let you know when I hear more. I have a neighbor in the same boat.

Have you tried emailing? I emailed two districts about screenings for preschool and they told me it's completely cancelled this year.

If they currently go to pre-k in the district, you'll get a registration packet on the 18th or 19th when you pick up their things. (Based on my understanding)

Although I finished registration I do remember seeing a message from the district about kids will not lose their full day position. I can't remember where I seen it but it was one of the million notifications from Tom

^^ same as above. I turned it in beg of March before all this, but I remember seeing emails about kids not losing their spot. Maybe try calling your school today? I know ours the principal is there today in the morning for worksheet packet pick up

"RE: Kindergarten-Related Topics  Kindergarten registration will be held at the home schools as usual, as soon as possible when school resumes.  All children chosen for 2020-21 Full-Day Kindergarten will still be able to complete enrollment and registration when school resumes. As in previous years, parents may decide to not complete enrollment/registration for any reason, however no child will lose his/her Full-Day Kindergarten “spot” because of the COVID-19 closure.  Kindergarten Round-up Events are postponed and will be rescheduled when school resumes. "  if you aren't signed up for the emails/calls from the district you may want to try to get that set up, not sure how
