How do you wire in a doorbell on a house because this 10 year old house was never wired for a door bell?

You need to wire it into your low voltage transformer. Should be in the mechanical room. Be a lot easier to buy a battery unit. I hav both, one wired at the front door and a battery one out back. They only need charging once every few months. Otherwise you need to run wires from the transformer to the doorbell area. Then buy a a something to make the bell sound in the house. Ring sells them.
