Question

I’ve just recently finished installing my alarm system. I haven’t set up the monitoring yet so I can self monitor to make sure all is working well. I added my son as a user with his own code for when he needs to come to our house when we are not home. However is it possible to set something where he doesn’t get notified every time we arm and unarm the system and just mainly have him set up so he can unarm as needed. He has his own system so if he turns off ring notifications he won’t get his own notifications, right? Any other way.

Have him use the keypad to unarm.

On his app, setting>alarm alerts and turn them off.

I just read that again. he should not get notified as a shared user. call ring, I am a shared user at my moms I don’t get her alerts, but do get mine.

@desrosiers he received a notification when we armed and unarmed our house today. If I deselect the button in the photo will he have access to physically unarm on the keypad but not on the app?

@madelaine if you turn that off, his code will not work and he won't see the option to change the modes on the app

@desrosiers You're right the first time. He needs to go to the shared location>settings>alarm settings and turn off the mode change notification

@madelaine It will be both. The only thing changing is the notification that your location has been armed or unarmed. I can try and record a video of showing the steps if you'd like.
