Hi, Newbie to ring here. Been waiting for a HomeKit doorbell but given up. I'm into my home automation, have home bridge running, smart hub, konnect system, comfort. org alarm, Samsung tv's, and Alexis dotted around, Hikvision CCTV but which ring doorbell do I go for that will integrate. It will need a wired power source as I don't currently have a bell but an intercom system. Was thinking the Ring Smart Video Doorbell Pro with Built-in Wi-Fi & Camera plus Ring Smart Chime but now see their are newer version 3's coming out. Should I wait? Also can the ring be setup to display on my Samsung tv when someones rings the bell? Thanks for your time.

If you have alexa dotted around forget the chime, waste of money. Just have alexa notify you, may aswell use what you already have. Also any ring doorbell will work great with Homebridge. Mine works perfectly!

I would get the pro. I have 2 VDB pros and 2 spotlight wired. I have not had one problem in almost 3 years of ownership. Most of the issues I read about in this group are Wifi related or issues with battery devices.

Go wired. No drama, even installing from scratch was easy for me. How is the konnect? I opted for the ring retrofit alarm kit. I love it. I need to fix a zone and verify zones with ring but it works great. I have it set up to “bloop bloop” when the garage, back yard doors and front doors open. Im not a fan of their cameras outdoors so, I bought eufy2’s. A different ecosystem but I’ll learn.
