I installed a wifi booster and now added the rapid ring app and it still says my signal is weak. Anyone have any ideas? My iPad and phone all work great, all except ring doorbell, my chime works well but it is always difficult to connect to video for some reason without doing it several times. Maybe ring was the wrong choice! I hope not. if anyone has ant suggestions, I would love to hear.

Get a signal strength measuring app for your phone and measure the signal at the doorbell

What WiFi “Booster” did you purchase and where is it located. If you placed it next to the door bell that will not help the strength. The “Booster” should be located half way between the Doorbell and the router. Give that a try and let us know what the RSSI strength is.

It's a known issue at rings end. Ive never had an issue but the last 4 or 5 weeks it's been saying it but everything still works fine. Despite the message does it still load up live view ok?

@salsify141 just slow, I have to re click it several times, so if someone rings doorbell, they would be long gone by the time I could see or talk

Assuming with what's going on, they dont have the people or resource to get a fix in quickly

Also check for an update as I believe a few people are no longer seeing this message. Theyve done an update and are rolling it out

If you got the chime pro, reviews I've read put it at hit or miss. I had it. Broke my connection hard while sitting at and rssi of -33. Even ring support was like. dafuq?

If its connected to 5ghz change it to 2. 4 ghz. The range is better on 2. 4.
