Odd question .  I’ve got a 2nd spare doorbell 2 that I don’t need as a doorbell but still useful as a security cam.Odd question . I’ve got a 2nd spare doorbell 2 that I don’t need as a doorbell but still useful as a security cam. Do replacement covers exist but without the button ? If not , why not ?

Why would they defeat the only purpose of that unit? Is doorbell.

No. It is designed to be a video doorbell. Hence the button. All the replacement covers have the button. Maybe you can modify one, maybe super glue the button so it doesn’t move.

@hasty31201 because people just get a camera if they need one. most people aren’t trying to recycle a doorbell into a camera.

@exercitation2948 I’ve spoken to many that just use them as cameras but just haven’t bothered to cover the button. I personally think the doorbell looks better than the white angled stick version. Imagine without the button would look pretty good in my opinion. Less obvious

Just keep the button for idiots. it’s like a wet paint sign

You can also set it up in the app so you won't get ring notifications, only motion notifications. That pretty much renders the button non-functional.
