Question

Hey everyone I have a problem. I bought a Ring2 doorbell chimepro and spot light cam from another person . And I went to install it but it's saying it's still in leave Last owners name. They told me when I got it that they had removed and deleted the Ring account out of there name. What can I do? I'm trying to get in touch with them but if I can't what do I gotta do to remove the b previous owners and add my account. Any help please and thanks

You can try and contact Ring CS, but if you don't have proof of sale then I'm not sure they'll help. They might be able to contact the other person as well to verify and then they could do it, but your best bet is to get them to remove the devices from their account first.

It's ok the guy that sold me to contacted me back. I didn't think he was but he went and removed them and now I'm able to add to my account thank you

@plow864 as long as someone removes the devices from their app you can install them. Deleting the app doesn’t release the devices. So great that you can add them now!

@exercitation2948 yea I think they thought that's so they had to do the first time. And so when I tried to add them to my account it was still in there name so this time they got it right and went back on the app and removed the devices and I that was all they had to do. It was some ppl I don't know so I thought I got scammed or I wouldn't hear back from them. But they were honorable and so what they said they would do. Now I have to pay the extra annual subscription fee cause I'm adding more cameras to my ring account.
