Exactly and you get a discount on your homeowners insurance as well so it’s a win win situation. With vivent I paid $59 with alarm system and 1 door cam every extra cam is $10 additional. With ring I pay $100 a year save $20 not paying monthly and includes my alarm system, smoke/co detector, ring doorbell, flood cams and 3 Indoor cams oh and flood sensor.

My floodlight cam has had both lights burn out after 18 months of ownership. Ring Support says there is only a one year warranty and offered me 35% off a new one. I was blown away by their offer as LED lights should last a “lifetime”. The said if I had the Protect Plus it would have been covered. I’m still fighting with Ring over this.

I have one camera, getting another. What's the plan that allows you to view video after initial 30 days?

tonedeaf397,
Are you sure? That’s just for the cloud storage. I don’t believe that is for the warranty.

My understanding it is. The yearly plan includes unlimitted cams, extended warrantee, and Professional Monitorting (If you have the Ring Alarm)

Why wouldn’t you? $100 per year for warranty and full-fledged monitoring? I was paying $60 per MONTH for monitoring with my old security system. Even the most basic self-install systems are $14 or $15 per month. Unless you only have a one-camera setup, it’s an absolute no-brainer.

It’s a must! Mines expired for about 2 days before I renewed and every time I tried catching a live notification, it was still loading and without the plan, you can’t replay clips.

Totally worth it if you decide to add more ring devices. Which you most likely will.

For $10 a month or $100 a year (save $20) I would definitely suggest it. I have the alarm system and 4 cameras. •It extends warranty •100% Replacement of stolen •You can look back/ download previous motions captures •You May save on homeowners/ renters insurance •Cheapest in the industry for 24/7 monitoring in case of emergency (Fire, ambulance, police) You really can’t beat it

The blue wave smoke alarms with my ring can be a life saver in its self. My burned cooking set off the smoke alarm and within seconds I was notified. Imagine if it was a real fire or I was not home. Worth every penny.

Best value! It's what convinced me to choose RING over others. Camera /Doorbell cloud storage, professional monitoring, extended warranty protection, RING discount. compare the cost to the competition!

I wanted to get it when I first moved one year ago but I didn’t and I haven’t done. I know is only $100 a year but so far we are fine and we alarm and disarm when out and at home. My husband says if the alarm sounds we can call the police ourselves after making sure is not a false alarm or our family members

For me its worth the 10 dollars a month I have 3 ring doorbells on 3 different apt doors here at my complex. Which is in a not so safe area so if anything happens like they get stolen they’re covered and I’ll get a replacement when I provide ring with the police report number. Plus I can go back and see things I may not have caught right away.

I have 1 cam costing $30 a year u til I replace with a eufy. The other eufy cameras don’t cost me any more money and the batteries reduce my charging to 1-2x a year. Thinking I should have gone that direction first. Apple natively supported is the bonus.
