I have a ridiculously vintage Craftsman garage door opener. I have searched for years and can not find a replacement remote for it. Recently found the Meross garage door opener and figured I might be able to knock out two birds with one stone; 1) automate all the things 2) add remotes. I know I can automate opening / closing with it. However I'm not sure about adding a remote. I haven't found a specific remote that works with the meross unit. Can I use something like a smarthings button? What kind of range can I get with those?

If you want a more traditional solution, there is a keyfob that accompanies the receiver

I just set mine up with a Shelly 1, pretty easy and cheap.
