Still can't get SmartThings to recognize both of my hue hubs. Any suggestions? Do I need a SmartThings hub to add both?

To connect & control Hue bulbs, which are ZigBee devices, you will need the SmartThings Hub.

How exactly did you think SmartThings works? You don’t have SmartThings if you don’t have the hub.

@capping Yep hub is required for all connectivity. Samsung tv account will link with the hub once that is configured. Just use the same acct info once you get your hub.

You don’t need a SmartThings hub if you pair the bulbs themselves to SmartThings. But the Hue hub ‘talks’ to the SmartThings hub.

You can connect Hue hubs (bridges) to SmartThings with or without a Smartthings hub, though having the hub seems to be preferred. SmartThings is mostly cloud based and the hub provides local connectivity. The hub used to be the focus but is now actually optional.

@capping Ah right. I've never used Hue at all. I've seen comments from users with multiple Hue bridges working with a ST hub so I know that can be done, but don't know how the cloud to cloud integration works.
