Hi all!  I'm a new member who's jumping ship from a Wink 2 Hub to ST.Hi all! I'm a new member who's jumping ship from a Wink 2 Hub to ST. Since yesterday, I have been doing research on how to make this transition as easy as possible. I've read through the how-to migrate guide and understand I will need to exclude any Z-Wave devices to pair them with a new hub. My house has the following: * Schlage lock, which I understand will work fine. * Philips Hue, which I understand works well. * Lutron Caseta dimmers--I've already ordered the Lutron Hub, which I understand is necessary for ST integration. * MyQ garage door opener: what's the best way to integrate this? I use open/close status to trigger events with my lights. I also have Nest Thermostats and Ring and Wyze cameras, though I'm not sure I'll need/want these in ST as I don't have/use them in Wink currently. It is my understanding that ST is able to perform similar automation to Wink's "robots"? For example: if the garage door opens after sunset, then turn on the basement lights for 3 minutes then turn off? Have I overlooked anything I'll need or misunderstood anything? It seems like the transition process shouldn't be *too* bad.

For MyQ, I use this SmartApp and it works well.

You are correct when it comes to automations. To make more powerful ones, you may need to take an hour or two to install and learn "WebCoRE" - a very powerful automation engine for SmartThings.

I'm looking into Webcore now. Hopefully I can manage without it. I think the biggest challenge will be integrating the MyQ garage door opener?

@intricate0 There is a step by step tutorial on how to do it. It would seem daunting at first but once you get the hang of it, it's just a matter of copy pasting. Just follow the steps to a T. Google has the links if you search for it.

“How do I unpair my devices without subscribing? ” If you no longer wish to have your devices connected to your wink hub and you are not a subscriber, please email questions@wink. com to have a Customer Service Representative remove and reset your Wink Hub from your Wink Account. This action will unpair all of the hub-connected devices from your Wink Hub.

In other words you need to unpair the devices from the Wink Hub before the one week is up, or you end up with the hassle of needing to email them to get your devices working again.

No, this is completely false. You can run an exclusion command from a different hub. You could throw your current hub in the trash and still be able to pair your devices to the new hub.

@vice2709, that was my understanding too! I'm not worried. There are tremendously helpful resources I've been finding that should ease this migration. Dare I say I'm actually a little excited .
