Everyone’s who’s booked holidays in May what are you doing? We have seen Ryan air are not going to be opening until earliest June. We are so confused weather to change it to another date and pay the extra or just keep the holiday in May and see if our flight gets cancelled?

I’ve got flights with Ryan air booked for may too. Where did you hear this? Can we get refunds?
by (780 points)
@gherkin I’ll try and find the link for you x

Don’t take any notice of the sun
by (780 points)
@asleep ok perfect haha
by (790 points)
@gherkin the sun write shit daily. I’d wait until Ryanair themselves announce it. They haven’t mentioned anything past 30th April yet
by (780 points)
@laurenlaurena7 so it does look like May flights won’t be happening
by (700 points)
@rodenhouse548 yes this is what they put up on their website yesterday x

I read somewhere that Easyjet wete not flying til 30th june. I am booked for 17th. Keeps changing all the time when the flight companies will start cos they all say different . end of April. end of May. end of June. Dont think they actually know themselves really.

I've got a holiday to Italy in May, I'm paying the balance and waiting it out for a refund
by (780 points)
@opsonin we don’t want a refund though we are going to change the date of the holiday either way. Rather it gets cancelled or before just wondering if it would be better waiting it out x
by (780 points)
@rodenhouse548 personally I think even if you are able to travel in May it would be risky and I doubt anywhere will be back to 'normal', if I was you I would change the date if you know when you want to go or get a refund and rebook x
by (200 points)
@rodenhouse548 wait, as when they cancelled my flight I was offered to reschedule for free, not even price difference was mentioned, or to get full refund

I have one end of May waiting till they cancel which is very likely but it's hard knowing wether to change date as you don't know when this will be all over
by (780 points)
@anthelion1435 yeah that’s what we are thinking, ours is also end of May. So unsure what to do x

I've changed my flights to Sept. But it meant I lost £100 because its £100 cheaper in sept and they wont refund. But also I've had to add 2 children to my booking meaning its costing £1000 more then if would if I went in may
by (780 points)
@excruciation yeah we don’t mind paying the difference if we have to rebook just unsure if to change the holiday date now or wait out for our flight to get cancelled x
by (810 points)
@rodenhouse548 they might not cancel your flight though, there are people losing out because it says the flight is still gonna leave even if you cant actually enter that country
by (780 points)
@excruciation oh ok I get what you mean now

We are waiting until they cancel as then we can take the money and decide when we want to go again as there's a fair group of us going xx

I read a comment on social media, from someone who is cabin crew for easyJet, that they are grounding all their fleet in April and May. I’m sure others, especially Ryanair, will be the same. So if wanting to cancel I would hold fire.

I meant to be going to Bulgaria in June with tui and I got an email this morning, not holding out much hope of going, but looked at amending the dates, it's an extra 1000 pound to go end of July and an extra 600 pounds to go same dates next year for same holiday, but I just have to wait it out for a refund, that was email I got

We are due to fly out to Mexico on the 6th May, tui have cancelled all package holidays until the 16th April, we are in limbo at the minute as well. We should also be in Ireland at this time but Ryanair cancelled our flights to fly out Tuesday but we are going through a refund for that now

We are meant to be flying to Spain with ryain air on 16th April haven’t had any email from them cancelling flight etc so where did you read they are not operating until June?
by (780 points)
@cantharides if you look on the first comment, it’s been confirmed by Ryan air now that it’s unlikely any April and May flights will be going ahead x
by (660 points)
@rodenhouse548  I’ve been checking their website religiously and can’t get any update for our flight. I’ll have a look now thanks c
by (810 points)

We had a family holiday booked for 10 people to Turkey at the end of May. We had booked a package holiday through Loveholidays This was paid for from a go-fund-me page set up for me as I’m terminally ill. The holiday was expensive enough but then the insurance for me to fly was another big expense. Now I’ve been told that Lovegoliday DON’T have to give us a refund straight away as they would go bust if doing it for everyone. (Apparently they could take up to 2 years to refund) - my prognosis say I won’t be here then ☹️ Sadly I won’t be well enough to fly next year and couldn’t afford ANOTHER insurance policy, looks doubtful we’ll see any of the money back. I know health comes first but I’m devastated I can’t have the “last family holiday” the kids were looking forward to
by (540 points)
@mayhem88364 sorry to hear you're Ill. im also booked with love holiday and because they buy the flights that's where the problem is. we are meant to be flying to Tuscany in may it's a love holiday hotel they said we can change dates or cancel but the flights are with Ryanair and they are holding on till last minute.

@embryotomy58318 did you have to pay extra for changing it? Did you just call up?
by (670 points)
@rodenhouse548 no it was free. I did it on line by signing into manage my booking, and came up with amend for free.
by (780 points)
@embryotomy58318 oh perfect, I’m going with love holidays so might be different but I’ll take a look thank you

My Holiday was supposed to be last week, I've had my email from them this morning. To either rebook the same in future or a voucher/credit to book another in the future with what I've already paid for this holiday. Took the voucher as I have a year to claim it then. Jet2 have given me refund for flights
