Hey you guys!  Question for you all.Hey you guys! Question for you all. A little background on me! May 5th will be 1. 5 years on ww and im down 102 pounds :) Very proud but every weeekend im BEYOND frustrated. Also. I KNOW we should only weigh in once a week. I DO hop on everyday to evaulate trends. ALSO. I do count calories too because ive been om this journey for a while and i need to be strict to get to my goal of 150! 13 pounds to go! FINALLY. I also workout very hard 6 days a week. A combo of strength and cardio and vurn 400 to 750 caloriea every workout. (Ive worked out hard for a long time now so this "issue" isnt building muscle) ANYWAY- my predicament. On the weekends, my husband and i eat popcorn! Its always in my points. And i always still have a large calorie deficit which in theory is what we need for weight loss. The difference is that on yhe weekdays i stop eating after dinner. (Usually no food after 6pm) on the weekends we eat popcorn around 8pm. Despite consuming less than 1500 calories on friday and saturday and BURNING 2000 caloroes friday and 2500 calories yesterday. the scale is up 7 pounds. I KNOW fluctuations are normal. Totally aware. Ita just discouraging because all week im playing catch up. *i also drink a gallon of water daily* DOES THIS HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE?
Hey you guys! Question for you all.

Salt is my first guess! You’ll retain water like crazy with salt. other question is are you gaining muscle? You said you’re working out. Have you done measurements? If your measurements are going down and scale is going up it is probably muscle.

Is this just a one day gain then you go back to normal? Besides salt it could be that popcorn is fiber and bulking. Could be your just up until you poop it out TMI

Do you eat your fit points? If you’ve been working out that hard for that long you might actually need to increase your calories. I struggle with that because it seems backwards but it always seems to help to change it up a little. Good luck to you, you’ve come so far so don’t be discouraged!

Side note Costco has boom chicka pop popcorn. it’s less salt and tastes really good. It’s 7 cups for 7 points but I’m usually satisfied with 3 or 4 cups! It’ll help cut the salt

I bet it’s the salt. I normally only weigh once a week but last Monday I was feeling quite bloated. I had eaten 4 ozs of ham on Sunday (had points left over) but was up 9 pounds. I had lost by my weigh in day, which is Friday, but salt really does a number on you.

I don’t count calories, but it has to be the salt

I am super sensitive to any change and it's so hard to break a cycle. We hold ourselves hostage I think to an idea. We need to just try different routines. Which sounds scary .

You could have an allergy or sensitivity to the popcorn. I try to pay very close attention to how certain foods effect my weight loss (or cause a gain). Regardless of my calorie or point intake, gluten will cause me to have a gain on the scale. Now that I know that I can be more aware with food choices.

I’m always up 1 pound the next morning when I eat popcorn. but 7 is crazy . maybe change your Saturday treat. it’s not working for you for some reason. maybe a W. W. Nacho chips with salsa only 2 points or eat 2 bags for 4 points. ‍♀️ good luck you have done amazing. It’s not easy.

How long has it been since you changed the battery in your scale? Just a thought.

Not really happening to me. I have other happenings. I don't see how any of us can give you advice. I say that b/c it seems you have covered all aspects thoroughly! If I am no mistaken, you already have the answer on what to do. You are trading 7 lbs for popcorn & working hard to take off 7 lbs all week. What do you choose. Good luck to you.

Popcorn is zero points on purple plan. Did you say what color you're on?

Do you eat a lot of salty foods, they can cause fluid retention!

My husband and I eat Skinny Pop popcorn. They have original, butter or white cheddar. Approximately 3 1/4 cups is 4 points.

Hey all! Sooo i think the salt and eating at a diff time ia PROB the culprit. But I actually going to add in about 200 more calories a day and see what happens since i do workout :)
