The program is designed for us to lose . 05-2 pounds per week. You are right on target. Slow weight loss is healthy weightloss and it keeps your skin looking nicer it let's it rebound

Orange theory is an awesome workout. You will build serious muscle. I wouldn’t focus on the scale and more on measuring. You are probably building muscle and you won’t see the scale move at all but you are still making progress.

Are you on weight watchers? Just curious because most (but not all) don’t count calories, just points.
by (500 points)
@quijano987 Yes I use WW - I am on blue program & was on green too for 1 month.

@clapper59 awesome! I’m on blue, too. I’m not an expert by any means but I’d say eat your fit points. I think you get 1 point for every 10 minutes of exercise but there’s a cap to how many your can earn. They are added to your weekly points bank. Another thing you may try is eating your carbs earlier in the day and less at night. Also, I try to stop eating at least 2 hours before I go to bed. And of course, make sure you’re drinking plenty of water, especially since you’re working out so much!

@quijano987 are we supposed to count calories too? I just count points. If so, how many calories can one have in a day?
by (500 points)
@misconceive No calories. Only points to be tracked for WW

@clapper59 I have a question. What are bonus points and how many do I get per week?
by (2.6k points)
@misconceive Do you have the WW app? It will show you your weekly points. I think it varies person to person.

Maybe you aren't eating enough.

That’s about a half a pound a week, that’s exactly what you are supposed to lose in order to maintain that weight loss. 0. 5-2lbs a week is normal, slow and steady wins the race

@sailplane71 Yeah some weeks I loose 1-2 lbs , some weeks I dont loose any / gain some .
by (360 points)
@clapper59 take pictures of yourself in a bathing suit every two weeks and you’ll start seeing a difference. Or take measurements
by (500 points)
@sailplane71 Makes sense. Will try it.
by (190 points)
@sailplane71 I completely agree and I tell all of my clients the same thing! Take pictures and measurements because the scale sucks and can really discourage you!
by (360 points)
@jenijenica8962 it’s true! I never really believe it until I started doing it myself. You can weigh the same amount and look totally different
by (190 points)
@sailplane71 For sure! I look thinner now than I did in high school and I weigh 20lbs heavier lol

How are your clothes fitting? Maybe you are muscling your vice fat?! I did CrossFit and somewhat watched what I ate and went down 8 sizes
by (500 points)
@supinator7262 Just a bit down with clothing.

@clapper59 stick to it I’m sure it will happen. Your teaching your body a new way of living. Best of luck to you

I lost 50 lbs since last April. That's about 1 lb a week. Be patient with yourself.

Maybe try to incorporate intermittent fasting along with WW. It helped me break through my plateau and lose the last few lbs to goal (but then I set a new goal).

I only lost ounces each week. Took me a year to lose 20 lbs. Each of us is different. If this really bothers you, talk to your doctor.
by (2.6k points)
@makebelieve it also took me a year to loose 20. Was feeling so defeated but then I realized that it’s not a race or competition!

Use your weeklies

@consolatory why?
by (20.4k points)
If you are stuck at a plateau, you need to eat more and burn it off.

That’s me, I started Christmas, yes Christmas and I have gotten all blue dots except for maybe 2 days. I was going to the gym before the pandemic and now I workout or walk on the treadmill 4 or 5 day as a week and I’ve only lost 11 lbs. I just keep moving forward because backwards is not an option knowing that it will eventually come off.

Always heard one to two pounds a week is the way to keep it off, slow but sure.

I love OTF! Before all this lockdown I was going 5 days a week. HOWEVER, being in a caloric deficit AND doing intense workouts like OTF could definitely be stressing your body out and therefore you’re holding onto weight. Also, if you are lifting heavy, rowing fast, running hills, your body will also put on muscle and retain water which is going to show in the scale. even though that has nothing to do with fat loss or gain. So my suggestions would be: 1. Stop working out so intensely 5x a week. Swap out 2-3 workouts for a walk instead. (Maybe even consider stopping for a time all together to see how working out might be effecting you). 2. Get a body scan to determine your full body makeup not just scale weight. Then after a time you can get another one to see if body fat percentage has gone down. OR buy a scale that shows more than body weight. They have some decently priced ones on Amazon. Just remember that your health is like a bank account. you put in deposits (good food, rest, relaxing/self care) and we make withdrawals (poor food, choices, stress, intense exercise) You may just be out of balance!
