If you had to choose one "sit down" not "fast food" restaurant, which one would you choose for its healthy options?

Luckily, I'm in South Louisiana. At a sit down restaurant here, you can always count on char broiled or blackened seafood along with vegetables or salad.

Hmmm. Fast food is easier to find the point values for but sit down tastes so much better. ;) Some places such as Applebees has sp values on menu, well, and on the app. Chik Fil A has some great point friendly choices as well as Wendy's. Both healthy.

Texas Roadhouse steak is reasonable paired with a salad or veggie, unsweetened tea, skip the bread and butter.

But probably loaded with salt/seasoning on that steak.
by (12.2k points)
@donelladonelle34 maybe, but still it's worth it to me.

I certainly hope there is some seasoning on my food

Most have healthier, lower point options. Check the app before you go and decide what you'll order. If they offer a lower size potion choice (lunch/senior/etc) that's one way to eat a favorite for lower points, share an entree, or ask for a to go container to come with your meal and package part to take home with you.

Any Sit down. Protein and a veggie is straightforward and they can tell you how it is prepared to account for any butter or oil points.

@haye9 they have it in the restaurant section in the app. I live in Indianapolis and they have one. I have also been to others in my travels. Nice atmosphere too.

Rare is the restaurant that does not have a variety of salads on their menu- usually you can add grilled shrimp or chicken. I always bring a small container of my favorite salad dressing with me.

Cheesecake Factory has good options! Any Steakhouse house a grilled chicken.
by (12.2k points)
@ripp9 yes. Just stay away from the "regular, real" Cheesecake. You'll blow your weeklies, dailies and more for one slice. I looked up and I think the Oreo one was 90 points. Then again. If you're going to blow it then this is doing it in style! (The Splenda low fat cheesecake is just 27 points. Doable, I guess. )

@macao good thing is I’m not a big cheesecake fan so i usually let my boys order one and I may have a bite.
by (12.2k points)
@ripp9 unfortunately I love it! :)

@macao I like the small shareable menu, we (hubby) like to order a couple to share, I love the cauliflower thingy  with a bottle of wine and skip the cheesecake  Me save that to celebrate at goal weight

I like Red Robin. They have unsweetened tea, LOTS of ww choices, like the burger wrap! Awesome ( lettuce is the bun), veggie burgers AND, you can substitute bottomless steamed broccoli for bottomless fries - no addt'l charge.

@haye9 it’s Seasons 52. Are you in NY? It’s part of a restaurant group.
by (650 points)
@luster , nope, Tennessee.

@haye9 Seasons 52 is super good. Kind of upscale nice place. 52 means 52 weeks - they use local produce and what is in season right now so everything is super fresh. No fried food. We love it.

@hoyle6 , I just looked it up. The closest one to me is in Georgia.

I like to look ahead at the local chain restaurants on the WW app because I can see if what I like can be worked into my plan. Early in my WW journey, I looked at Carrabas’s and figured out what I could have and the portions. I still do that to this day.
