If I get this do I just plug it next to my router in my office where my base station is located and it should help extend the signal to my chicken coop? Technically challenged and yes I am reading and using the search bar but need exact steps

Wifi extenders will not extend your wifi for the cameras. The base sends the wifi signal to the cameras.

@shier you can try positioning the base in a different location that it will reach your router, facing it the opposite direction sometimes helps.

@shier you don't have to move router but moving it closer to the cameras that are lagging will help

What are you trying to get accomplished?

@shier , you’d need an additional base. The WiFi extender will not solve the problem as the camera connects to the base, not to WiFi extender. Hope this helps
