Has anybody been able to adjust the sensitivity of your ARLO’s to detect rocks being thrown at windows? We have ours on full sensitivity, saw the neighbors throwing the rocks, but our camera never recorded.

You might need more than a a camera if that’s your issue mate.

@chavaree I’ve gone to the police out here in Texas. they won’t do anything unless we have video footage. The rocks are being thrown from the far gate on the right behind the fence. wondering if I need to move the camera to just above my window.

@toughen7661 I would move your camera so it can see images move left to right or right to left.

Is it plugged into power or wireless? I had one of mine on wireless and as soon as I plugged it in to a power cable it started picking up bees buzzing past and every single car that drove past, it also sends me motion notifications for steam coming out my back window from the shower. It didn’t pick any of these motions when it was just wireless and I didn’t adjust any settings after plugging in.

@lordly thank you for that feedback. We will plug it in and see what comes through. Thank you!

No worries, this was my front camera zooming in on some car lights coming through my front gate  Hope you catch the people throwing the rocks!

You might also adjust your camera since they have the tendency to catch motion from the side and not coming right at it if you know what I mean but side to side will catch motion

I use multiple cameras out front to capture different angles, some with overlap coverage/redundancy and pay for the AI smart alerts to identify humans, it works well and detects people well over 50 feet away.

Are your cameras inside the windows? Or outside?

You probably need a system that records 24x7. There are no guarantees with motion detection. I've had UPS and FEDEX trucks pull in and not trigger the recording process on my Arlo 2 plus cams. 24x7

Aim camera to where the person walks up to throw. It wont pick up the rock as quick as the person. But you will get lots of extra motion recordings so external cords help

How do we continuously record with the Arlo? The people throwing rocks are doing it from inside their fence. We did plug the camera in directly to a plug and it was picking up on everything; but it would be very helpful to continuously record.

You have to pay for a CVR plan to get 24/7 recording and it has to be powered, which I see you've done
