I am having the similar issue in the beginning, if you have any router to spare, change the router or goto your friend home to register the base station.

Why i said so. because i have tried multiple time using my Synology Router. Totally cannot find the base station, so i take out my old Netgear router to plug in and get the base station to register and all it work well until today.

Is your phone on your WiFi ? Is this base brand new?

I had to let my router accept it , nighthawk router app think by Netgear
