What do you do when you save up a sinking fund for a holiday and then your SO doesn’t want to participate? I have $100 saved for Valentine’s Day and my bf won’t give me ideas and doesn’t want to go out. So what do I do with the cash?

Get a massage boo. If you really don’t want to use it on Valentine’s Day items you could use it towards another sinking fund! Like Xmas or something you have coming up

Buy yourself a valentines day gift! You budgeted for it, if he doesn't want to do anything, use it on yourself ♀️

Spend that money on you! He doesn’t want to participate then he doesn’t get to partake of the fruit of your labors! Pamper yourself!

Responsible response— sock it towards a debt. Otherwise, go do something nice for yourself.

We don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day so my recommendation is to save the money and use it for a special dinner at another time.

Our lease is up in May and we want to save up a little more so we can buy good furniture when we get into a new place, but we received a letter from our management office saying they want us to renew our lease but they want to charge $15 more per month.

Question on how or where do you keep your big cash ( sinking founds ) I use Wells Fargo ( Not my favorite but is what we use) So right now what I have been doing is getting all the sinking found cash and put it in my envelopes and then in a small safe.

If you have employer-matched a retirement fund plan through your employer (in Canada, it’s RRSP matching, typically 3-5% if offered) do you consider your portion of the contribution as income and count it towards savings?
