I currently bank with a credit union, whom I love but looking for an option for non cash sinking funds/savings. I can't open savings/chequing accounts without fees. Would it be wise to open a separate account like tangerine (which I believe is online only/no fees) and e transfer $ to? I am in Canada FYI.

I am cashless and have 1 savings account. I track my sinking funds on my own - it's all together though, emergency savings and a TON of sinking funds. :)

That is a good idea. I like having them visually labeled but maybe I can just track myself instead and save the trouble!

I keep all my sinking funds in one savings account. I have a spreadsheet to track how much is in each sinking fund. I also created a spreadsheet to track my cashless "envelopes", spend it all from my checking account
