I would want them to get passionate about it, so I would definitely set them up with the YouTube video links. Giving someone the tools to get started may not help them, they have to want the help so I wouldn't invest too much. I would show them what I am doing and how it is going, and use my excitement to get them excited. Maybe print off some special envelopes for them. Once I see they are INTO it, I would do highlighters and for sure a tbm mug!

The BBP planner, cash envelopes, some type of folder/wallet to keep envelopes in, membership in the Savings Challenge courses. Pens and highlighters are inexpensive so they’re easily acquired and likely the friend already has them.

Patience and knowledge to realize that any progress is better than no progress. It takes time. Every dollar saved is important. Not everyone has the same situation and will be able to pay off or complete the same goals in the same time . Give yourself credit and love.
