Anyone here switch insurances and. Price an increase after the first year? My current policy is about $200/month- including 2 cars and renters, but Progressive is quoting me $80 cheaper! Totally want to make the switch, but I'm nervous it will just go up after a year and although the coverage is the same, I'm just worried

I loved Progressive, I only switched because I managed to save $30/mo elsewhere but they paid me within 48 hours when my rav4 was totaled in 2018. But I am so guilty of insurance hopping.

I insurance shop every couple of years as all of them bump you up. I am in my 60s and have had progressive twice over the years. Horrible both times.

Progressive steadily increased every renewal. I ended up moving to Geico and saving almost $170 a month. Geico's rates have also stayed stable.

I switched to progressive 2yrs ago and I've had no issues at all! It's only gone up when we added a new vehicle. They have been awesome with a few times we've needed roadside assistance- specifically with towing a vehicle. I've enjoyed them better than State Farm and I was with them for over 15yrs.

You can review your rates at renewal every year and change as necessary. No risk. I heard on a report recently that 65% of people never shop their insurance. Rate is based on 13 factors so it’s worth checking as those factors can change.

I’ve had progressive since the beginning and they’ve always been the cheapest. My husband and I both have full coverage on new vehicles for $110/month. It goes down every renewal. My home owners is with Allstate and they can’t beat progressives rates even with a bundle discount. I’ve always had amazing customer service with progressive too. Even if my rate went up I would probably stay. They’ve been too good to me but I do understand insurance hopping!

Getting ready to switch my car and homeowners and will be saving close to $400 a year on both! All because of this group. I had never thought about it until seeing all the posts in here and sure enough I’m getting much better rates.
