Edit: think of it as a forced hourly paycut. 32 hrs = $320 but now 40 hrs = $320 I hope this is ok to ask here. It does involve finances. I am being forced off my 32hr/week shift to a 40hr/week with no appropriate pay increase. I will be getting the same pay at 40hrs as I am getting at 32hrs. I would like to make an appointment with HR to discuss this as my director has said many times he can't control our pay rates. Best tips for a raise negotiation? I work in healthcare. I wish so much we could move to a better paying area but it's not an option right now.
