Ok cruising in April.  Went to the Pinterest rabbit hole.Ok cruising in April. Went to the Pinterest rabbit hole. So lemme ask, what are the must haves? Waterproof phone case yes but what is a neccessity and what's fluff?

I like to have an aluminum cup with straw for sea days & a water bottle with tight lid for port days. I need a travel fan for my room. I do take many of my own meds/ointments/band aids. I do take some thin beach towels for port days because the ship towels are heavy to carry - especially wet!

I took an over the door shoe organizer and hung it on the bathroom door and we stashed sunscreen, chargers, hats etc in it. Easy to find and didn’t clutter up the little dresser. The walls are metal so magnetic hooks were awesome. I even strung a line across the room to hang wet things.

Your phone will be fine. Take a power strip for charging cameras and phones. There is limited outlets. And bottled water. ship water is fine the first day or two but goes down hill everyday. Also clothes to grow in. I've always gained weight.

I’m bringing a bottle of ketchup and ranch for the mini fridge the kids LOVE room service and I swear they always forget the ranch.

An old gift card/hotel room card to keep in your room key slot to keep it cool. There is usually a clothes line in the shower, but I wish I would have brought “towel clips” for us. There are laundry rooms but it would have been easier to bring a small container of laundry soap and rinse out and dry in shower. Sand gets everywhere. Floppy hat and sunscreen for sure. Wet wipes for when you leave the beach. Don’t bother bringing hair care stuff because you will have “beach hair”. I brought headbands and a fancy hair clip for our one fancy dinner (it was our honeymoon). A mesh beach bag tote that can carry all that stuff so you just have one big bag, and a “wet bag” if you change clothes on port days. Looking at another cruise now and I will most definitely be bringing cash for tips and drinks. We definitely splurged on our honeymoon but still had some sticker shock. It’s too easy to swipe and charge to room. On our 2nd or 3rd day we bought the souvenir cups and got steep discounts on drinks - so check on that first day! I paid a ton for a massage and feel it was a total waste - skipping that and maybe just doing a “day pass” at the spa to use the whirlpools and stuff.

If you are going to be on the beach bring baby powder. When you get ready to leave sprinkle it wherever you have beach sand then wipe with a dry towel. It makes it easier to get ALL the sand off.

Insulated cup for water for on the shop, power strip/usb hub for charging (depending on your cabin you might only have one plug), cold meds, motion sickness meds, sunscreen/aloe. Most cabins have metal walls so any kind of magnet hooks you might want. A store loyalty card (or any card that's not a credit card with a magnetic stripe) to lock the safe.
