I only print the sheets I need for this month and next month. I love the accessabilty to print more because I make quite a few mistakes so I can reprint and rewrite as much as needed!

I had my first one bound but put it in a binder the next year. I love the flexibility a binder affords.

I use a digital copy of printables.
by (5.4k points)
I use free or low cost TBM printables then send them to OneNote.
by (5.4k points)
Once your pages are in one note, resize to original size and then set the page as background.
by (1.7k points)
@physicality how do you get the pages in onenote?
by (5.4k points)
@malposition, Download the printable to your computer (this is the easiest way for me. ) Open the file, go to print and select ‘Send to OneNote’ instead.
by (1.7k points)
@physicality ok, just got through those steps. Waiting for the file to finish importing to OneNote

I have set up a monthly template featuring a calendar, BBP pages for each week (husband is paid weekly), and at least one expense tracker for each week. I can then duplicate that template for each new month. I have February and March set up already and will do other months after I see if I want to tweak my template anymore. I also have an Overview section with various trackers and overarching info.

I use a 3 ring binder and a 3 hole punch. Sticker tabs to separate sections.

I got the printable. Wish I’d splurged for the preprinted. The printable gives my printer errors whenever I try to print any pages with graphics.

I had a 1/2in binder already so I print 3 months at a time and carry mine with me every day in my purse as that also helps keep me motivated and easier to track my expenses if I’ve got it right with me.

I use a 3 ring notebook and tabs for each month. I used what I had so I didn’t have to buy anything to get started other than the printable. I print 3 months pages at a time.

@houser23781 - if you go to the budget mom website, under shop. The printable budget by paycheck book is not free, I think it was around $30

I am new to digital planning and find it very convenient on my Ipad to use for budgeting alongside my use of the You Need a Budget system with some TBM concepts as well. I have my finance binder uploaded into the GoodNotes app with a variety of different page setups to plan out each month. Here is a collage of the basic pages I use each month:)

Do you have the pencil?
by (2.3k points)
@sententious Yes i do. I tend to use it more when planning things out each month. I used the text option to preset my setups for each month ahead of time. Easy peasy with the lasso tool/copy function

@shipworm do you love doing it this way? Im saving for an iPad!
by (2.3k points)
Absolutely! As I said, I use YNAB and that’s on my iPad so the digital planner is perfect in the same place. And the screensaver I have feels like actual paper, so planning at it‘s best! (I do use a Hobonichi Weeks Planner for my everyday planning though).
by (5.4k points)
@shipworm, great set up. Sometimes I really like my cheap set up, and then I see other set ups and wish I had GoodNotes and the full book.
by (260 points)
@shipworm would you be willing to PM me and explain how you set that up? I’ve been struggling with it
by (2.3k points)
@copier4 Sure, will do:)
by (210 points)
@shipworm I’m new to this so silly question where did u get these sheets. Would love to use them
by (2.3k points)
@luna946 Some I bought at the TBM Shop online and the base planner came from an Etsy shop, with some other misc uploads.

Just a thought because I see y’all talking about ink. I do HP instant ink- total game changer! I homeschool so we print a lot $10/month for 300 pages it doesn’t matter if it’s black or color. I bought a new printer & got 6 months free.
by (3.8k points)
Can I ask which printer you have? We homeschool, too, and need a new one!
by (2.6k points)
@foret Skelton hp envy HP87891A we’ve only had it since November but has worked great!

by (2.2k points)
@lobachevsky27 Alexander this is genius! I’m a happy planner girl too!
by (140 points)
What kind of hole puncher do you use?
by (1.2k points)
@nocti it’s a happy planner punch.
by (1.2k points)
@lewin @uredium I like it because I take out the sheet I’m working on. I can also reprint or print more if necessary!
by (1.2k points)
Oh. And the dividers are Tul from Office Depot. They were $6.

I bought a ream of 28lb paper from Walmart for $8 and printed it at home then took it to UPS and had them spiral bind it for me (this was free because my friend owns a UPS store, but I can’t imagine they would charge too much just to bind it)

Printed mine just black and white, hole punched it and put it in a huge 3 ring binder. I also use dividers and labels to organize each group per month. I love it! My friend does her’s digital which is totally fine, but I have to write things down. I was using highlighters, but now I bought colorful pens and use those to write each category down.

I originally wanted to buy the actual bound planner but didn’t want to wait for it to come back in stock and am so happy I got the printable in the end! I just printed select pages the first month to get started. Love that I can customize it and add other pages & dividers, too.

Lighting doesn’t do it justice. It’s a light pink/rose gold color. It’s the TUL brand from Office Depot
