It's there to save my ass. I don't touch it. If you don't count it then it all works out. My 500 car note is scheduled for the first and 90% of the time it comes out early.

Nope! I know I have an even number and that $1, 000 really is 0 for me for budgeting purposes.

Your Cushion should always remain the same - if you use it, it should be replenished. If you pay bills online then the bill totals should be on top of cushion.
