Hello TBM family, I've been working on my financial independence with TBM BBP and I'm so glad that my boyfriend is now getting into it. The issue is that he is a tennis coach and he gets paid everyday - some through bank transfer and some cash. Can anyone suggest how to budget monthly for him? Thank you!

Maybe treat it as a weekly paycheck? Just do a new budget every week with what he happened to make in the entire week span.

@choriocarcinoma that could work. Will check with him on that as his schedule varies each week. It depends on the weather. Thank you!

My schedule varies each week too which is why I budget by paycheck.

I’d start by tracking for a week or two and then get an average.

I believe I watched a video Miko had about irregular incomes such as his and she recommended taking an average of what he earns and plan a budget based on the worst case scenario minimum he might make. Then when money actually comes in higher you can adjust from there. Hope I made sense, but I definitely think he should try to choose a timeframe (week or every two weeks) to make his BBP worksheets work best for him.
