Can NOT having a credit card hurt me? We don’t have any CC debt. I know not necessarily a bad thing  Back story- I had a CC with a pretty high limit/balance. I missed a payment 2x in the same year- but I didn’t let it go past 60days- it was literally 31days‍♀️ and one of those payment misses was Feb. so that shouldn’t even count, lol. Anyway, the CC company lowered my limit & - I was super annoyed! So I took out a small personal loan to pay that balance off, at a lower % and it’s fixed rate. Plus I was able to dig myself out some other stuff at the time. So I closed the card. My hubs had an open CC- that we didn’t even use, and our bank closed the acct. because we didn’t use it. So our major debts are Car- (2cars rolled into one) $500/mth Small Ln- $245/mth - this has 3yrs left Small Ln- $162/mth - this will be paid off this summer! So I’m working on getting the two small loans paid off, and ideally I’d like to pay our cars off, closer to the end of the year- I think there’s like 1. 5/2yrs left on our loan. My score is still only ‘good’ and I don’t know if it’s because of missing a payment - which it’ll be 2yrs this year. Or if it’s because we don’t have a credit card.

My husband has only ever had one credit card - when he bought my ring. He paid it off and closed it though pretty quickly. So now all he has is our vehicles, home and student loan. He has an excellent credit score
